Minority
Business Enterprise Participation Goals
It
is the policy of the Maryland Environmental Service to encourage the participation
of minority businesses in its procurements. As part of Maryland state government,
MES attempts to annually award a minimum of 25% of the total dollar amount of
all contracts to Minority Business Enterprises. By submitting a response to
a solicitation with an established MBE subcontract participation goal, the Bidder/Offeror
agrees that amount of the contract will be performed by minority businesses
certified by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT).
Prospective
Bidders/Offerors are solely responsible for identifying subcontract opportunities
and MDOT certified minority firms to meet an established goal and their individual
firms needs when responding to a solicitation. Maryland state certified
MBEs can be identified by accessing MDOTs website at
http://mbe.mdot.state.md.us/directory/.
Prospective bidders/offerors are advised to solicit State certified MBEs prior
to submitting their bids/proposals.
The Maryland Environmental
Service thanks you for your visit to this Web Site and interest in our procurements.
