This division provides personnel to operate and maintain private, municipal, county, and State owned water treatment, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and solid waste treatment processed. The Operations & Maintenance Division provides for liaison activity and regulatory reporting to State, local and Federal agencies for each project managed.

Services are provided to MES clients utilizing a blend of private sector services combined with an in-house staff of State certified operators and maintenance technicians. Significant activities include the operations and maintenance of the Eastern Correctional Institution water and wastewater treatment plants (Somerset County, MD), Dorsey Run Advanced wastewater treatment plant (Anne Arundel County, MD), Maryland Correctional Institution Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) wastewater treatment plant (Hagerstown, MD), and the City of Cambridge wastewater treatment plant (Dorchester County, MD).

Operations and maintenance services are custom tailored to our client needs. Categories of service provided include: full service operations and maintenance; specialized technical support; supervisor oversight; performance of comprehensive utility evaluation.

The Division provides each of our clients with calendar year Annual Reports that outline progress made during the year as well as recommended improvements and cost estimates. The Annual Report serves as a planning tool for our clients during utility budget formulation.
