The Maryland Environmental Service operates a mobile wood waste processing service designed to meet your requirements. There is no need for your organization to invest in expensive equipment when this convenient service is available. And, MES has ordered a new 13-foot Class Tub Grinder to provide expanded wood waste processing services! With this new addition, MES will be able to accept a wider range of material, process more volume, be in two locations at a time, and be more efficient in providing a usable end product. Once a minimum of 80 tons of acceptable wood waste is collected on your site, call MES. A representative will visit your site to estimate the volume of your stockpile. Based on stockpile measurements and or tonnages, MES will prepare and send you a written quote inclusive of all fees. Fees are based on fixed processing fees plus mobilization/demobilization charges. Other fees may apply and will be stated in the price quotation.

The following fees for mobile wood waste processing are valid for July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002 (fiscal year 2002).

• Mobile wood waste processing on a site WITHOUT weigh scales is billed by the cubic yard. Measurements are taken of the unprocessed pile and the following formula is applied. Length in feet x width in feet x height in feet x 0.75/27 = cubic yards. Using this formula to find the cubic yards of material for processing, a rate of  $2.50 per cubic yard is charged.
• Mobile wood waste processing on a site WITH weigh scales is billed by the ton. Material is weighed by the scales on site and billed $10.00 per ton..
• A daily per diem feed of $90.00 per day of processing is charged for the operator.
• A mobilization and demobilization fee of $90.00 per hour is charged for the transportation to and from the site and set-up and breakdown of the mobile tub grinder at the site.
• Customer supplies all fuel necessary for woodwaste processing on site.

MES will provide an operator and a 10 foot  or our new 13 foot diameter tub grinder equipped with an extended reach, heavy duty knuckle boom to fill the tub. Your facility manager will provide an equipment operator with suitable equipment to deliver wood waste to the tub grinder and to remove process material.

Mobile units can process wood waste material up to 2 -3 feet in diameter. Tree limbs, brush, leaves, Christmas trees and pallets are considered acceptable materials. This mobile unit will process upwards of 10 tons/hour and is available 8 hours daily, Monday through Friday.
