Minority Business Enterprise Goal

It is the policy of the Maryland Environmental Service to encourage the participation of minority businesses in its procurements, thereby increasing both the number of and dollars spent with state certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) vendors.

As part of Maryland state government, MES attempts to annually award a minimum of 25% of the total dollar amount of all contracts to MBEs.

Certified Minority Businesses interested in participating in MES' contracting opportunities should submit a letter of introduction detailing the types of commodities or services your business is interested in providing, along with MDOT certification number and categories in which certified to work.
