Procurement Division The Division The Service actively seeks services in the following areas:
Objective The Division’s objective is the timely and cost effective procurement of equipment, commodities, supplies and services needed to support the operations of MES and its clients while maximizing contract opportunities for private sector businesses. To See a Procurement/Purchasing Representative Appointments with a Procurement Representative or Agency Buyer should be arranged at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance by calling the Procurement line at (410) 729-8502 or the Purchasing line at (410) 729-8505. After an evaluation of your product or service the Procurement Representative or Agency Buyer may refer you to certain the departments/divisions that may be interested in your product or service. Notice of Contracting Opportunities The Maryland Environmental Service (MES) currently advertises its contracting opportunities in the Contract Weekly, the Baltimore Sun, various local newspapers and select regional minority publications. Bid Hotline Information Potential bidders can access the 24-hour hotline by dialing 1-800-MES-0366 or 410-729-8502 to retrieve current bid information. The recorded message will give bid or RFP project identification numbers, bid due dates, descriptions of the projects, locations, site visits/pre-bid conference dates and MBE participation goals.
