Employees' Furlough and Temporary Salary Reduction Plan
By Executive Order 01.01.2008.20, the
State of Maryland has implemented an across-the-board temporary reduction in
salaries for state employees that will occur over ten pay periods, starting with
the pay period that begins on February 11, 2009 and ending on June 30, 2009.
This across-the-board temporary reduction in salaries applies to employees of
the Maryland Environmental Service as well. In addition, anyone who is hired
during this period shall be required to participate in the furlough plan

Resources System are found in the Code of Maryland
Regulations (COMAR) 14.27.02..
