Environmental Specialist II-III

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Environmental Specialist II-III position at our Millersville, MD headquarters. Primary responsibilities include executing biosolids management projects and providing operations support for the Service's wastewater treatment facilities. Candidates shall possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office software, including Access and Excel is also required.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelors Degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology or a related field from an accredited college or university plus five years of progressively responsible experience performing project management and technical oversight for environmental science, engineering, construction and planning activities. Two years of this experience must have included responsibility for managing environmental projects and supervising professional and technical staff. applicants may substitute an applicable advanced education degree for up to two years of the required experience. Experience in biosolids management programs or wastewater treatment is desirable. A valid driver's license with less than 6 points and the ability to lift 50 pounds is also required.
