ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST TRAINEE - II

Maryland Environmental Service has a vacancy for an Environmental Specialist Trainee (Grade 2), Environmental Specialist I (Grade 4), or Environmental Specialist II (Grade 5) at the Headquarters in Millersville. The position will report to the Environmental Operations - Solid Waste Engineering Division. The position will involve office work and field work for various solid waste management sites throughout the State of Maryland. Limited overnight, in-state travel may be required. Typical field duties may include environmental sample collection, oversight of drilling contractors, gas monitoring, surveying, etc. Typical office duties include scheduling of field work, data management, and technical report preparation. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelors Degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or a related field from an accredited college or university for the Environmental Specialist Trainee position. The Environmental Specialist I and II positions require 1 year and 3 years of experience, respectively.
