MAINTENANCE MECHANIC III

Maryland Environmental Service has a vacancy for a Maintenance Mechanic III (Grade 4) at the ECI Cogeneration Facility in Westover, Maryland.  Responsibilities include providing immediate and scheduled response to the operational needs of the co-generation facility including maintenance and repair service for diesel engines, boilers, turbine generator and major equipment overhauls.  Works independently as required to perform scheduled preventive maintenance and perform repairs to facility equipment.  Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED plus 6 years experience with operation and maintenance groups at power generating facilities, possession of a 4th Class State of Maryland Stationary Engineers License and a valid driver’s license with less than six points. 

Note: Applicants can substitute college engineering degree for 3 years of the experience requirement.
