Environmental Specialist I

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Environmental Specialist I in Millersville, MD. Primary responsibilities include providing support in the development and maintenance of monitoring databases, statistical analysis of data, as well as maintenance of technical files. Performs basic field studies which may include the collection of field samples, data and other information.

Position may require ability to obtain Security Clearance. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, ecology or related field, plus one year of experience in environmental science, regulations, engineering or management. Also required, a valid driver's license with less than 6 points, the ability to lift 50 pounds, the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
