ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST TRAINEE-I

Maryland Environmental Service is hiring an Environmental Specialist Trainee-I for the Environmental Dredging and Restoration Division at the Poplar Island site near Tilghman Island. Primary responsibilities include assisting in the development and presentation of outreach programs, coordinating and conducting tours for clients and tour groups. Support in the development and maintenance of monitoring databases, statistical analysis of data, as well as maintenance of technical files is required. Successful candidate will assist with procurement of supplies and operate vehicles and watercraft in support of outreach programs. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, ecology or related field, valid drivers license with less than 6 points, the ability to pass a pre-employment and DOT physical, and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
