ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST TRAINEE - I

Maryland Environmental Service is seeking an Environmental Specialist Trainee, or Environmental Specialist I, for the Dredging and Restoration Division located in Millersville. Responsibilities include writing and formatting technical reports, meeting summaries and other project related information, data review, and compilation and other project support tasks required. Some off-site field work may also be required including collection of field samples and data.

Minimum qualifications for an EST include a Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, ecology, or a related field. ESI qualifications require a minimum of 1 year related experience in addition to education requirements. Preferred candidate must be fluent in MS Office porgrams, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Schedule), have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Writing samples may be requested from qualified candidates. Superior writing skills preferred. A valid driver's license with less than 6 points is also required, as well as the ability to life 50lbs. Salary for this position is commensurate with experience.
